February is that month when love suddenly becomes everybody's business.

The flowers come out. Chocolates multiply. Couples start posting "my forever" pictures, and somehow, being single for 28 days begins to feel like a public announcement. 😂

But at Agape Impact Network, we kept asking ourselves one question:

What if love was bigger than romance?

What if Valentine's season could be about showing love to someone who simply needed to be reminded that they mattered?

And that was how Love in a Bag came to life.

Love, packaged ❤️

For us, Love in a Bag was more than putting items into a bag and handing them out.

It was our little way of saying: "You are seen. You are valued. Someone cares."

In February, we took this message of love to Ibadan and Lagos, preparing 100 Love in a Bag packs in each city, 200 packs altogether.

Two cities. 200 bags. And, hopefully, 200 little reminders that love can find you in the most unexpected places.

Love is not only for single people 😂

Let's settle this once and for all.

Valentine's Day is not exclusively for single people. Yes, we said what we said. 😂

Love isn't a consolation prize you receive because you don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend. Love is for everyone.

It is for the mother who keeps showing up for her children. It is for the father working tirelessly to provide for his family. It is for the friend who checks in when everyone else has disappeared. It is for the stranger who needs a little kindness. It is for the elderly woman down the street. It is for the young person trying to figure life out.

It is for communities. It is for people who have a lot. And it is especially for people who may feel like they don't have much at all.

Love belongs to all of us.

From a bag to a moment

There is something beautiful about giving someone a gift they weren't expecting.

Sometimes, it isn't even about what's inside the bag.

It's the surprise. The smile. The "Really? This is for me?" The moment someone realizes that somebody thought about them.

That is what we wanted Love in a Bag to create. Not just distribution. A moment.

A moment of joy. A moment of connection. A moment that says, "Hey, you matter too."

Ibadan → Lagos → Love

We started in Ibadan, where we shared 100 packs, and then took Love in a Bag to Lagos, with another 100 packs.

Different cities. Different people. Different stories. But the same message.

Love.

And honestly, watching people receive the bags reminded us of something simple that we sometimes forget: you don't always need a grand gesture to make someone's day.

Sometimes, love looks like a bag. Sometimes, it looks like showing up. Sometimes, it looks like giving. Sometimes, it looks like listening. Sometimes, it is simply saying, "I thought about you."

Why we did it

At Agape Impact Network, we believe love should move.

Not just stay in our hearts. Not just live in our captions. Not just be something we talk about.

Love should have hands. It should reach people. It should serve. It should restore. It should remind people that they are not forgotten.

That is what Love in a Bag represented for us. A simple idea powered by a very big belief: everyone deserves to experience love.

So yes, February may have come with flowers, chocolates, dinner dates and couple pictures. But we chose to add something else to the season.

200 bags of love. And we're glad we did.

Because at the end of the day, love isn't only about who you are dating. Love is about who you are willing to reach.

And sometimes, all it takes is one bag to start a conversation. One gesture to create a smile. One act of kindness to remind someone:

"You are loved." ❤️
